Time Travel to 1812:

It was the morning of December 18, 1812, the morning of the Battle of the Mississinewa. Above the sound of fighting, smell of gunpowder and feel of death rose one of the most significant chapters in the War of 1812 and dramatic moments in the history of Grant County, Indiana.

Faithful attention to authenticity has made Mississinewa 1812 the premiere living history event in Indiana. Here you will step back into the wilderness life of early Indiana Territory. Mississinewa 1812 is the largest War of 1812 living history event in the United States. Sponsored by the Mississinewa Battlefield Society Inc, Marion, Indiana with the support of the Department of Natural Resources. It is a historical commemoration of the Battle of Mississinewa fought here on December 17-18, 1812. It's a step back in time to 1812.

Kalamazoo Living History Show

More than 10,000 historical re-enactors, history enthusiasts, collectors and the general public from the United States and Canada are expected to attend the 44th annual Kalamazoo Living History Show™.  The juried, nationally recognized show is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17, 2019, at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center, Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds, 2900 Lake Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan.   The show attracts over 270 of the finest artisans and vendors of pre-1890 living history supplies and related crafts from throughout the United States and Canada.  Other highlights include children’s activities, Native American dancing and singing, and many artisans who will demonstrate their crafts. 

The Kalamazoo Living History Show™ is open to the general public Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Admission is $7.00 for a single day adult pass; $10.00 for a weekend adult pass.  Children 12 years of age and under admitted free when accompanied by a parent.

Kalamazoo Living History Show

The largest, nationally recognized, juried show in the Midwest devoted to pre-1890 original or reproduction living history supplies, accouterments and related crafts.  More than 10,000 historical re-enactors from pre-Revolutionary through the Civil War, history buffs, collectors, and the general public from 18 states and Canada come together for a festive weekend. Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-4.

Echoes of the Past Historic Trade Fair

The Midwest's original and largest indoor trade fairs. Highlighting the early American way of life showcasing merchants, craftsmen, military and civilians. Find supplies for the Historical reenactor, muzzle loading enthusiast and the general public. Meet Merchants and Craftsmen stocking and selling historical clothing, books, patterns, tinware, pewter, beads, leather, fur, forged iron, pottery, firearms, knives, etc. Meet civilians and soldiers alike representing time periods ranging from the mid 1700's through the American Civil War, and western frontier. Enjoy demonstrations, music, shopping, fashion shows, and festive atmosphere. On-going seminars daily. Food available on site. Admission $5.00 for adults, children 10 and under free with an adult. Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-3.
